    Description

    Relais & Chateau at Thornbury Castle are seeking a Demi Chef de Partie to join our talented team of chefs. You will be working in a unique and beautifully restored Castle and four Red Star boutique hotel and creating truly memorable and impressive 5*dishes for our guests in our 3 Rosette restaurant.

    About Us

    Set on 15 acres of beautiful land, Thornbury Castle Hotel is the only Tudor Castle operating as a hotel in England. The Castle has recently undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment program bringing back to life the regal grandeur of its past. Located 20 minutes' drive from Bristol, it offers 27 rooms and suites, an award-winning restaurant, bar and two unique meeting and conference spaces. our food style is modern British using the best locally sourced produce from our kitchen garden and around the southwest. We operate 7 days a week, serving breakfast, afternoon tea, dinner, and Sunday lunch as well as weddings and functions.

    Our company goal is to deliver "refined and personalised hospitality" to enable our hotel to be a place where all guests can relax, enjoy themselves and have a break from normal life. To feel like royalty in a unique place with unique people.

    The Offer

    • Full time permanent position 48 hours per week
    • Salary from £27,000 per annum
    • An additional share of service charge and tips (about 3.5k per year. Paid every 2 months)
    • Overtime paid
    • 28-day holiday including bank holidays

    About You

    A truly talented Chef with a professional approach, great passion and flair for the industry and food.

    • Ideal candidate a strong commis chef that wants to move on progress and be part of an exciting project.
    • Experience in a 3 AA Rosettes within a similar role
    • You will be responsible for the preparation and service in a particular section supporting the team and helping colleagues
    • Bringing a calm mature approach with a resilient nature that thrives under pressure
    • Natural ability as a chef with outstanding attention for detail
    • Dedicated excellent team player with strong communication skills
    • Ability to work unsupervised and using own initiative and the ambition to succeed at the highest levels
    • Strictly follow all food safety and health & safety procedures
