    Job Description

    My customer is currently seeking a Principal Medical Writer to join their expanding team. They strongly believe in making significant contributions that have a positive impact on society. The creation of their Medical Education division was driven by the desire to inject fresh dynamism into their industry. As the Principal Medical Writer, you will be instrumental in generating a wide range of materials covering various therapeutic areas, ensuring that both the language and content are finely tailored to resonate with the target audience. Your work will consistently maintain a high standard, rooted in scientific accuracy, and aligned seamlessly with the brand identity. Given that a substantial portion of the projects have promotional elements, prior experience in this realm would be highly advantageous.

    This role involves direct client interaction, necessitating active participation in briefings and meetings. Your effectiveness in communication, ability to manage client expectations, and delivery of exceptional written content will be pivotal to excelling in this position.

    Responsibilities

    • Previous exposure to Medical Writing in an agency environment
    • Utilize a variety of resources to grasp the scientific foundations and product strategy associated with assigned projects
    • Conduct research to support project work (including KEE mapping, data collation, and literature review) to continually enhance understanding of the brand and competitive landscape
    • Demonstrate an understanding of the commercial context and assimilate commercial information for specified therapeutic areas with guidance
    • Write and structure various documents (e.g., manuscripts, posters, slide decks) leveraging therapeutic knowledge to achieve communication goals
    • Adapt writing style for diverse audiences, adhere to quality control processes, and keep the team informed of therapy area insights
    • Engage confidently with clients, contribute to proposal development and pitch activities, and proactively share knowledge with peers
    • Participate in briefings, manage workload effectively, and lead by example within the team
    • Support colleagues, seek feedback for continuous improvement, and actively contribute to project deliverables
    • Be proactive in project management, maintain communication with account teams, and stay updated on industry trends to incorporate fresh ideas

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of a Master's degree in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, or related fields. A PhD would be advantageous but not obligatory
    • Ability to perform well under pressure, excellent written English skills, strong interpersonal capabilities, and exceptional IT proficiency
    • Experience in oncology or respiratory fields considered a plus
