    Location:
    Norfolk, own transport required

    Hours:
    Monday to Friday, office based

    We are seeking a highly skilled Build Engineer to lead the prototype and production phases of innovative projects for one of our clients based in Norfolk.

    The role demands overseeing the transition from engineering design to the build phase, ensuring designs are manufacturable and meet high-quality standards.

    This includes managing the build process, assembly, testing, and validation.

    The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to facilitate product development, with a strong emphasis on design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA), bill of materials (BoM) accuracy, and optimizing build processes.

    Lead the build process for cutting-edge projects, managing assembly, testing, and final sign-off.
    Champion continuous improvement initiatives in build processes, focusing on efficiency, quality, and safety.
    Proactively address and resolve build issues to ensure projects stay on schedule.
    Perform detailed inspections and audits to maintain high standards of quality and compliance.
    Engage in prototype testing and validation, ensuring comprehensive product integration and performance.
    Provide technical guidance to build team members, promoting best practices in build quality.
    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

    Expertise in product lifecycle management (PLM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, particularly with platforms such as Windchill, Creo, Infor, Syteline, or similar.

    Proficiency in CAD software for engineering review and design analysis.
    Exceptional problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
