    With our collaborative and partnership approach, we are about to embark on an exciting programme of category development.

    As a Category Management Supplier Negotiation Coach, your key challenge will be to deliver added value to each of the teams you support via the relationships you build and the motivational and creative skills you employ.

    We are looking for a high calibre candidate who can lead the thinking and inspire others, to deliver plans that step change performance and deliver for the customer.

    Ensures rigour and quality of customer and financial inputs into the process and leads/coaches the trading teams to draw out insights to determine opportunities and trade-offs, whilst ensuring the customer offer is not compromised and remains customer led

    • Opportunity to input to the ongoing development of supplier negotiation planning best practice and process integration with other key supplier processes to embed enhanced best practice and improve supplier negotiation capability within the Commercial function
    • A role model/ professional expert within Commercial for supplier negotiation planning
    The ability to coach in a dynamic commercial environment to empower the delivery of world class category management objectives and the related supplier negotiation plans through others, because you understand the category, customers, market and suppliers and the challenges that the customer is facing into

    • A track record in a commercially focused role (minimum of 3 years ) along with negotiation experience with cross category suppliers, in retail and FMCG businesses
    • You will also be a first-class relationship manager and project manager with great, all-round communication and influencing skills, which when combined with your strong analytical and numerate skills you can create a narrative from analysis and insights, with a high degree of customer focus
