We are currently looking for Utility Surveyors to join our fast-growing
Subsurface Engineering department in both
Manchester and Birmingham. This is a great opportunity for someone with survey experience to work within the expeditious Geospatial industry.

The successful applicant will be reporting to the head of the department and will be based in our between our Manchester and Birmingham offices.

What will I be doing in my new role?

  • Undertaking of utility surveys in a variety of environments using the latest EM and GPR technologies and equipment available.
  • Undertaking site visits and client meetings (for the senior role) to assist in the tendering stage of larger projects.
  • Handling, processing, and interpreting geospatial data within the subsurface environment.
  • Managing teams onsite to deliver the project objectives.

What qualifications/ previous experience do I need?

  • QCF Level 3 or Level 5 utility mapping
  • Fully competent with the most up to date techniques including electromagnetic detection
  • Fundamental knowledge of the principles and practices of utility surveying
  • Understand scopes of work and project requirements
  • Possess an understanding of common industry practices and standards, i.e., PAS128, TSA etc
  • Knowledge of GPR, CAT and Genny utility detection equipment and their use
  • Ability to perform detailed field and office surveying work
  • To build and maintain client relationships ensuring we deliver to objectives set

Desirable

  • Ideally have working knowledge of current CAD programs
  • Knowledge of modern survey methods and survey devices, Total stations, GPS, and data collectors
  • PTS
