Vacancy Description

West Berkshire Council Property Team manages the day to day operation of the Council's corporate administrative buildings.

Under the direct supervision of the Facilities and Maintenance Manager you will be part of the facilities team who maintain our corporate offices.

Responsible for all the facilities functions of various Corporate Premises and key-holder responsibility for several other Council properties. Main duties will be health & safety, janitorial, basic handy person skills, plant equipment and building security/alarm/access systems.


This is an opportunity to be part of the facilities team and expand further into the mechanical functions of our properties.


We are looking for a committed individual with good all round practical skills and some knowledge of building maintenance and facilities management.

You will be a strong communicator and be comfortable interacting with all levels and job profiles within the Authority.

Being enthusiastic, reliable and with a friendly personality is essential to this position.
