    Job Title: SEN Teacher (Autism Spectrum)

    Are you a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teacher passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with autism spectrum disorders? Horizon Teachers is seeking an experienced and qualified professional to join our team and lead a small specialist provision class, ensuring that each student's educational and emotional needs are met in a supportive and inclusive environment.

    Role Overview:

    As an SEN Teacher at Horizon Teachers, your primary responsibility will be to plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the unique learning styles of students on the autism spectrum. You will create a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes positive behaviour and fosters a sense of belonging and inclusivity. Collaborating with support staff, you will develop individualized education plans (IEPs) that address each student's strengths and areas for growth, while also promoting social integration within the wider school community.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
    • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
    • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with autism spectrum disorders.
    • Collaborate with support staff, parents, and fellow teachers to ensure students' holistic development.
    • Promote positive behaviour and social integration among students within the school community.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and student outcomes.
    Qualifications and Skills:
    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in Special Education Needs (SEN).
    • Strong understanding of strategies and interventions for supporting students on the autism spectrum.
    • Ability to create engaging and differentiated lesson plans.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
    • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
