    Description
    Apprenticeships Compliance and Data ManagerInitial 3-Month Fixed Term ContractUp to £50,585.00 per annum. Flexible Working ArrangementsImmediate StartThis role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of an apprenticeship programme. The postholder will be tasked with maintaining an up-to-date understanding of apprenticeship regulations, particularly the ESFA Funding rules.

    They will oversee the submission of essential documentation to the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), notably the Individualised Learner Return (ILR).

    Additionally, the postholder will act as the primary resource for all matters concerning apprenticeship systems, providing guidance to colleagues to ensure compliance with funding requirements.

    Moreover, they will be responsible for conducting and coordinating audits of apprentice records to identify and address any data or compliance risks promptly.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Stay informed about ESFA Apprenticeship funding rules, ensuring internal processes, policies, and documentation are in line with requirements.

    Regularly update internal apprenticeship policies and processes to reflect changes in ESFA funding rules and their impact on the ILR and apprenticeship delivery.

    Manage apprentice data, including analysis, validation, and preparation of accurate ILR submissions. Monitor ESFA apprenticeship reports for insights.

    Serve as the lead user for all apprenticeship systems, offering guidance to colleagues on optimal system use for delivery and compliance.

    Support relevant teams in understanding ESFA Apprenticeship Funding Rules for accurate cost estimation and audit preparation.
    Facilitate responses to ESFA audits by identifying risks early and recommending improvements. Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

    This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive, and the postholder may be expected to undertake additional tasks within the scope and grading of the role.


    Candidate Profile:
    Demonstrate a good working knowledge and understanding of ESFA Funding Rules and ILR requirements.

    Experience of supporting Apprenticeships within Further or Higher Education, or a private training providerAbility to work independently, managing own workload and priorities.

    Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines ensuring accuracy and compliance.
    Experience of dealing with confidential data and an applied knowledge and understanding of the implications of GDPR.
