    Description
    A core part of Preqin's growth plan is to enable analytics and a data-driven culture across the entire business. The Data Engineering powers a central data and analytics platform that addresses diverse use cases such as AI models and Strategy dashboards.     What you'll be doing:

    • Be part of the team that makes critical architectural decisions and develops the next generation of applications through POCs
    • Engage with a variety of teams and colleagues to ensure the platform meets their needs and empowers them to run things autonomously
    • Develop structures, templates, pipelines, that empower other developers or non-technical users
    • Contribute to a collection of data pipelines to make all required data available in our central platform
    • Help to setup data governance structures
    • Optimise our technical setup and architecture

    What you'll bring to us:

    • Excellent Python skills
    • Excellent SQL skills
    • At least one year of experience with one of the data analysis libraries (Pandas, Julia, Spark, Polars, ...)
    • Experience to collaborate closely with technical and non-technical colleagues to jointly meet business objectives
    • Ability to quickly develop simple MVPs / POCs that meet the core need but enable long-term scaling
    • Having a deep understanding of multiprocessing. Threading, pipelines and workflow management software and libraries
    • Aptitude to train, support, mentor and advise colleagues with varying degrees of data literacy
