    This position will be a hybrid work arrangement, which translates to 3 days minimum per week in the office.

    HarbourVest has a global Investor Relations team with a dedicated Private Client Group ("PCG") focused on private wealth platform clients. This investor segment is seen by industry observers and HarbourVest alike to be one of the fastest growing area of private markets. In a recent publication by BCG*, an expected growth rate of 18% CAGR by 2025 among individual investors outpacing institutional growth.

    As such, HarbourVest is seeking to hire an outstanding investor relations professional to engage with private client platforms (clients and prospects) and contribute to product development activities as part of the London-based PCG team.

    The ideal candidate is someone who is:

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • European Languages – English (must) and preferably one additional European language (French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch)
  • Private market knowledge (highly preferred)
  • What you will do:

  • Supporting Account Managers in all aspects of the fundraising cycle from managing pipeline of fundraising opportunities, client questionnaires, presentations, due diligence meetings and closing of investor capital commitments
  • Leveraging investment activity and fundraising across all funds to create bespoke communications
  • Performing client segmentation analysis and competitor analysis to increase market penetration in EMEA and APAC regions
  • Preparing tailored SalesForce / Preqin reporting and analysis
  • Working closely with the Marketing team, RFP team, Client Services team and other firm wide functions across all seniority to win new clients and service existing clients
  • Analysing and preparing internal presentations on fundraising, and assisting with setting up targets for the region
  • Cash flow modelling for existing and new commitments
  • Market research, competitor analysis
  • Supporting Account Managers in developing and preparing LP teach-ins/learning exchange materials and memos
  • Supporting LP due diligence requests and coordinate investor queries
  • Creating presentations and memorandums for senior management
  • Supporting broader investor relations teams in dealing with new product development, existing clients, and prospective investors
  • Education Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science (BS/BA) or equivalent experience
  • Experience:

  • 2-5 Years of experience in alternative investment, investment banking, private wealth, or product specialist types of roles
