- Assess and report contractor compliance withcontract Occupational Health Safety and Environmentalrequirements.
- Conduct preconstruction jobexplanation and kickoff meetings to communicate constructionexecution safety requirements as per the contract scope.
- Track and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) toidentify opportunities for performance improvement.
- Develop and conduct safety training programs.
- Provide advice and consultation to department staff tohelp maintain a safe working environment in compliance withenvironmental and safety regulations standards andpractices.
- Identify and evaluate hazardousconditions and practices in the workplace and conduct surveys toassess occupational health safety and environmentalconditions.
- Conduct and coordinate onsiteinspections to audit physical conditions and safe workpractices.
- Offer advice and counsel regardingcompliance with corporate safety regulations andprocedures.
- Perform construction site and/orarea safety inspections of department facilities andoperations.
- Conduct job site safety complianceinspections including hazard analyses and safe work procedures andprepare written reports and recommendations.
- Develop controls for identified hazards and coordinatetheir implementation based on hazard analysis results.
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the hazardcontrol system policies and procedures and recommend changes toimprove workplace incident and injury prevention.
- Prepare safety orientations safety training and job siteinspection procedures as well as develop specialized education andtraining materials. Conduct specialized safety and environmentaltraining programs to communicate hazard controlinformation.
- Assist local management inproviding new employee occupational health safety and environmentalorientation.
- Participate in Safe OperationsCommittee meetings.
- Review and analyze injuryproperty damage and statistical loss data and collaborate withmanagement to formulate comprehensive recommendations forcorrective action to eliminate or minimize potentialhazards.
- Ensure essential safety requirementsare incorporated into all purchasing and contractingactions.
- Recommend the purchase of safetyequipment related supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE)in line with established company requirements.
- Stay informed about corporate safety and environmentalrequirements and provide recommendations for theirimplementation.
- Assist management inmonitoring employee and contractor adherence to department safetyand environmental programs.

- Hold a Bachelors degreein engineering safety engineering industrial hygiene environmentalscience or a related field from a recognized and approved program(advanced degree preferred).
- Possess twelve(12) years of experience related to heavy construction safety witha preference for experience in the on/offshore oil/gas constructionindustry petrochemical construction industry or constructionproject management.
- Demonstrate knowledge andexperience in delivering handson health safety and environmentaltraining.
- Ability to assist with thedevelopment implementation and coordination of comprehensive healthand safety programs.
- Strong communicationskills both verbal and written including the ability to conducttraining make presentations and write reports.
- Participation in teams and/or committees related tohealth safety and environmental matters.
- Proficiency in PC skills including Microsoft Officeapplications (Word Excel and PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with standards concepts practices andprocedures within the health safety and environmentalfields.
- Ability to work at all levels withinan organization and collaborate effectively in a diverse workgroup.

Job Summary
We areseeking an experienced Safety Advisor to join our ProjectManagement team (PMT). This Company Project Management Teams aredirectly responsible and accountable for the delivery of best inclass capital projects assigned to department. PMT is directlyinvolved in executing and managing assigned projects safely onschedule within budget and to the highest standards of integrityand compliance. This will involve engineering design procurementand construction of various sizes types and complexity of smallmedium to multibillion dollar mega size projects.
