Your role
The internal sales role is in place to support and achieve sales growth in the UK. You will support our Industrial Assembly solutions team for both our product and service) business lines.

You will have three main goals:

  • Telesales activity
  • Proactively targeting new and repeat business for continued growth by quoting available and relevant service and spare part offerings. It is expected most opportunities will arise through the existing customer base; however, support for new enquiries may also be required.
  • Administrative support for general daily tasks to include document creation, for example, (but not limited to) quotations, sales presentations, order tracking, system pricing management and 'Where is my Tool' along with appointment booking where required for the service sales team.
  • Report into relevant business lines associated with activity tracking and sales development resulting from key sales activities.
You will be office-based in Wolverhampton, but some travel may be required occasionally due to the needs of the business (e.g., internal meetings)


Main Responsibilities:

Telesales activity:


  • SAS 'Protect' and 'Stability' contracts to existing IAS customers
  • SCE 'Calibration' activities to existing ACTA customers
  • Plan and prioritise personal sales activities to maximise the sales funnel
  • Undertake proposals and mail to customers utilising the CRM system and follow up where required
  • Use the CRM system to maintain a 360 view of our customers.
  • Follow up on open quotations to drive increased revenues.
  • Develop and maintain good customer relationships and ensure an excellent standard of aftersales service is provided.
  • Process your own sales orders following financial requirements, ensuring prices and deliveries are following business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Look for new sales opportunities and work in collaboration with our service sales team to increase contract value or quote for outofscope or additional services.

Administrative support:


  • Progress purchase order numbers with customers for outstanding service works (awaiting PO) by telephone
  • Identify any parts that do not have a standard cost in place and request such costs from the relevant departments and administer account discounts for servicerelated tasks/spares (with Tools UK)
  • Create customer quotations in C4C, plus other C4C data management i.e local lead/opportunity creation
  • Support with 4 panel/presentation creation
  • Book appointments for ASMs as required to maximise sales visits
  • Become a 'Where is my tool' expert, understanding the system and how this works, for example
- _support with internal and external training_
- _Data cleanse activities, including pricing and asset list for all customers_
- _system management (data/access etc)_
- _Liaise with Spirit BKU on improvements/change requests etc._
- _Create a 'roll out' plan_

  • Daily revenue tracking and identifying completed jobs not invoiced.
  • Spare parts 'variable spend' management tracking for Stability and Uptime service contracts
  • In the absence of the Service Sales Manager, assist with the forecast of sales figures to the Business Line Manager
  • Providing onthespot spares pricing to the sales team.

Also, your responsibilities include:


  • Positively promote Atlas Copco and promote additional services and products that would benefit the customer.
  • Maintain and exceed the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.
  • Attend team meetings as required.
  • Always ensure the highest levels of H&S.
  • Ensure the highest focus on "housekeeping" and 5S best practices.
  • Support and drive new process implementation.
  • Share information and best practices at all opportunities
  • Attend training as required to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
  • Undertake adhoc project work as required.
  • Any other reasonable responsibilities.
  • Provide support and cover for sickness and holidays in place on Service Administration/Planner
  • Carry out ad hoc projects as required.

To succeed, you need:


  • Previous experience in a customerfacing role; telephone or facetoface.
  • Previous sales administration experience.
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with our teams and external partners.
  • Good organisation skills.
  • Conscientious, positive attitude to quality and workmanship with the ability to work accurately and effectively across all responsibilities
