Description
NDT Inspector Meadowhall (with flexibility to be multi-site) x1 Mon to Fri 40 hours per week Alternating mornings and afternoonsMain Purpose of Job:
Have the necessary skills to set up and calibrate equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate results for acceptance or rejection in accordance with approved work instructions, quality standards and to document results.
Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
Always enforce and practice a high standard of health and safety and ensure plant is operated safely
Have familiarity with the scope and limitations of the NDT method for which they are certified
Have extensive knowledge of relevant product manufacturing and inspection technologies
Process parts including preparation, before or after inspection
Select appropriate technique for the NDT method to be performed
Prepare written instructions and techniques for NDT inspection
Understand NDT standards and specifications and translate into working instructions
Interpret and evaluate results in relation to acceptance standards and specifications
Organise and report test results
Clearly identify defective products and produce reports
Ensure good communication within the team
To undertake additional training as part of a multi-disciplined inspection team
Undertake other tasks within the scope of your expertise as required
Involvement with internal and customer audits
Update and maintain company booking systems
Involvement in continuous improvement programs
Maintain high levels of competency even when working to strict deadlines
Adherence to company and customer standards and specifications
Operation of company FLT's and other mobile equipment as required
Operation of company overhead and jib cranes as required
Knowledge and Aptitude required
A General awareness of the importance of Health & Safety & Product Quality

Experience and Qualifications
You will able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of forged and wrought product in the Aerospace, Power Generation and Off Highway sectors ideally with the qualifications below
NAS 410 / EN 4179 Level II in Magnetic Particle Inspection
NAS 410 / EN 4179 Level II in Penetrant Inspection
NAS 410 / EN 4179 Level II in Contact Ultrasonic
NDT Visual Inspection
