We are looking for:
An experienced Analytical Scientist with extensive knowledge in Late Stage API Pharmaceutical Development. The role will be to lead a team of Analytical Scientists working on our late stage API development projects. The position will be for an Associate Principal Scientist or Principal Scientist depending on experience.

You will have a background in Analytical Chemistry combined with a solid expertise in a wide variety of chromatography methods including: HPLC, UPLC, chiral HPLC, GC, SFC, IC and LC-MS as well as other analytical methodologies utilized to characterize APIs.

The role is to lead a team of analysts focused in supporting
Late Stage chemistry projects, characterizing and developing methods for Starting Materials, Intermediates and APIs.

The main focus on the role is to work on our
Late Stage projects which are nearing transfer to our commercial facilities in Cramlington and Coventry RI.

Requirements:

Significant experience in Late-Stage Analytical Development Projects.
An expert in the key chromatographic methods
HPLC, UPLC, chiral LC, GC, SFC, IC and LC-MS.
Ability to lead complex scientific projects and initiatives.
An excellent scientific record of accomplishment.
An eye for detail.
Keen to learn and mentor others

Key roles and responsibilities:

Leading and supervising a team of Analysts at Pharmaron Hoddesdon.
Supporting clients in helping to develop and validate final chromatographic methods for starting materials, intermediates and APIs.
Assessment of method robustness and ruggedness.
Writing, approving and executing on method transfer protocols.
Identifying and tracking the purge and fate of impurities within synthetic chemical processes.
Authoring and reviewing analytical development reports.
Working within project teams working to tight deadlines.
Ability to solve complex scientific problems.
