    Job summary

    Working as part of a fantastic team supported by the 18 Week Clinical and Nurse Leads in your specialty and overseen by our Chief Nurse

    Excellent daily rate (paid via clinical payroll)

    Job responsibilities

    The role of a Healthcare Assistant within 18 Week Support willrequire you will carry out observations, investigations and basic treatments asrequired. You will also oversee chaperoning of patients and assisting medicalstaff with day-to-day duties and any other duties under the direction of theregistered nurse.

    Welcome patients, visitors, consultants, and staff in a professional andwelcoming manner.

    Carry out Vital observations.

    Maintain stock control and careful use of equipment.

    Maintain privacy and dignity of patients.

    Distribute Patient Feedback forms.

    Complete all relevant paperwork as requested by 18 Week Support Team

    Chaperoning patients and required equipment as necessary forappointments and clinic.

    Ensure strict confidentiality is applied to all clients and staff,ensuring need to know basis is always applied.

    Communicate care to patients, their family and/or carers usingappropriate language and rationale.

    Assists the registered nurse with appropriate clinicaldocumentation.

    Reports any concerns to the trained nurse in charge of the patient.

    Decontamination of instruments and clinical equipment

    Person Specification

    Experience

    Essential

  • 2 years minimum experience as a decontamination technician within an acute endoscopy unit
  • Wassenberg washer and cabinet certificate
  • Live within 40miles of Wolverhampton
