    Blue Arrow are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Engineer for a well known brand in Airdrie

    This is a Permanent position

    4 on / 4 off Dayshift/Nightshift


    Salary:
    £38k - £40K DOE


    Job Purpose:


    You will be working in a chilled environment maintaining a wide range of production equipment as well as general maintenance and installation of new equipment.

    Role

    • Attend breakdowns on site with a rapid response whilst ensuring plant equipment and machinery breakdown time is minimised.
    • Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance across the factory effectively and efficiently, either alone or as part of a team.
    • Communicate unscheduled downtime to Engineering Supervisor and Production Managers and the corrective actions and root cause if identified.
    • Identification of improvements that can be made to production lines or individual machinery or other operations.
    • Ensure all health and safety and other business guidelines are followed.
    Requirements

    • Qualified, multi-skilled engineer
    • Proven experience within a food production/manufacturing environment is essential.
    • Exposure to metal detectors, conveyors, weighers, and baggers would be beneficial.
    • Health and Safety / Basic Hygiene trained.
    • Have a proactive approach to fault finding, a commitment to continuous improvement, and personal development.
    • Ability to understand mechanical drawings / manuals.
    • Good interpersonal skills.
