    Senior CAD Designer

    Queensmith

    Hatton Garden, London

    All team members are expected to offer general support across various departments, including customer service, operations, finance, and IT, to maintain our high standards of customer satisfaction.

    Purpose of the Role

    The Senior CAD Designer plays a crucial role in the Production/Workshop Team, contributing to the design of various in-house items. This position requires efficient task completion to ensure orders are fulfilled on time and meet our quality standards.

    Strong attention to detail, quick and effective work, clear communication, and excellent organizational skills are essential for this role.

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities

    • Hand sketching concepts and ideas
    • Produce presentation-quality artwork
    • Design and create 3D models and renderings using CAD software
    • Create cast-ready files and collaborate with metal casters
    • Develop concepts for Jewellery collections and Bespoke projects
    • Collaborate with sales and production teams to ensure accurate design specifications
    • Understand and utilize 3D printing technology efficiently
    • Operate 3D printers, laser cutters, and other technology effectively
    • Occasionally engage with clients for design consultations
    • Maintain a clean workspace
    • Support CAD Manager and Production staff as needed
    • Assist in training new CAD staff
    • Adhere to deadlines and deliver high-quality work
    • Communicate with sales staff to clarify order instructions
    • Handle bespoke client work and core collection tasks
    • Maintain accurate records in the company's database system
    • Attend to customers and calls when required

    While these are the main responsibilities, flexibility in undertaking additional tasks may be necessary under the guidance of senior management.

    The Senior CAD Designer is a crucial part of our manufacturing process, requiring strong communication and time management skills. Apart from the primary duties, responsibilities include specific order queries, security measures, complying with company policies, and representing Queensmith professionally.
