Assistant Behaviour Specialist.

  • This post would suit those with direct interest or experience in using Applied Behaviour Analysis, Positive Behaviour Support when working with people with Learning disability and or autism, or an Assistant psychologist seeking to enhance skills in this area
  • The Least Restrictive Practice Project (LRP) is a unique Multi Professional Project seeking to develop solutions for the provision of personalised, yet costeffective care for clients with a learning disability who are at risk of distress, restrictions or may present behaviour that challenges.
  • The position sits within a Social Work team, which reviews the care and support of clients with Learning Disability, placing a particular emphasis on reducing restrictions and possible distress / behaviour that challenges.
  • You will, under the direct supervision of the team Behaviour Specialist, complete behaviour assessment, and support clients and their care agencies to implement positive behaviour support strategies across the county of Hampshire, and potentially support a small cohort of clients that are living out of county.
  • Core activities of this role would be;
  • Support Behaviour Assessment and review.
  • Support the formulation of Multi element behaviour support planning.
  • Provide support and advice to direct care teams based on MDT assessment.
  • Support the implementation of positive behaviour support plans.
  • Support embedding Least Restrictive Practice principles and processes across Adults Health and Care.
  • The position is county wide and you would be expected to travel across the county to visit clients homes or other bases. We support flexible / home working options and will provide office facilities close to your location.
