Description

Purpose of role
To support the manufacturing facility and associated managers, to help maintain manufacturing schedules and improve efficiencies. To contribute towards the manufacturing strategy.

Roles and responsibilities

Ensure the daily order requirements are being managed to meet on time production order dates
Operating saws to cut aluminium extrusions
Load and move materials into factory in preparation for cutting
Logically stack cut materials to suit Production orders
Empty scrap bins into designated recycling skips/bins
Assisting in safe and organized storage of all materials
Observing all signs, instructions, and procedures relevant to VES.
To ensure health and Safety is followed in areas of responsibility
To provide support to other areas when required
Assisting in keeping area clean and tidy at all times
To provide cover for powder coating when needed
Any other duties deemed appropriate by your line manager
Focus of the manufacturing strategy is On Time In Full (OTIF).
Reduction in damages
Working in line with Capacity Reservations and ensuring all hours are posted daily
AX status reflecting physical Manufacturing progress using traffic light system
Meeting first time plans.
Regular communication with manufacturing managers to ensure workflow on track
On time PRA Delivery Date, measured by Work Centre PowerBI report, to minimum 80% on time
Work Centre reservations cleared daily
Meeting Quality Standards
Work with the team leaders and management to acknowledge repeat issues/concerns/areas of focus for improvement
