The Role

This is a critical role in the IT organisation and works closely with the IT Leadership and many key business partners to ensure delivery of great solutions.

The role of an IT Business Analyst (IT BA) is critical to defining the right requirements to find the right solutions.

The IT BA is expected to influence and challenge the business to elicit clear requirements by building up sound business relationshipsacross the business at all levels.

Key Duties

Provide indications as to the feasibility of the requirements from a technology perspective and to guide the business towards a solution that best fits their needs.
Liaison among key stakeholders, including other IT Business Analysts, Enterprise Architects, Technical Analysts, business clients and third party on/offshore IT providers.
The role would suit someone who can work on their own initiative and within a larger team of IT BAs within the IT organisation.

Responsible for the capturing and maturing of the business requirements for the small change and larger enhancements.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
Experience of functional specification production

Selfstarter

Proactive, investigative, willing to challenge assumptions and defend solution proposals at all levels.
Strong ability to multitask and to work tasks without daily supervisor interaction.
