    The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out joinery and general maintenance to our housing stock & join our Talented Voids and Responsive Maintenance Teams providing a great customer experience.

    Some Things We Need from You

    • Strong joinery maintenance knowledge, gained ideally within a housing/domestic setting.
    • Ensure all work is undertaken to a high standard with the minimum of supervision to diagnose faults and deliver effective solutions to our customers.
    • 'First Time Fix' on all jobs whilst remaining within budget and time parameters.
    • Operate within company Health and Safety guidelines and remain up to date with technical and legal requirements of your skill areas.
    • Proven ability in joinery and hold a minimum of an NVQ level 2 or City & Guilds in joinery.
    • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills and hold a full UK driving licence.
    • Callout Availability.

    Purpose Of job:

    To install, maintain, and repair all aspects of joinery, in Trent & Dove Housing's properties whilst ensuring that work is in accordance with relevant regulations and with all relevant technical standards, as well as taking ownership of the work and aiming for:

    • First Time Fix on all jobs
    • Fixed within budget and time parameters
    • Minimise recalls

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    1.Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building codes, and follows safety requirements.

    2.Provide exceptional customer service and answer any customer questions.

    3.Work safely and in compliance with Trent and Dove health & safety requirements and regulations taking into account any environmental circumstances and possible risks.

    4.To carry out joiner repairs and replacements.

    5.To comply with all relevant statutory procedures including assisting with the preparation of risk assessments, method statements and construction safety plans.

    6.Participate in an out of hours service where required.

    7.To undertake any training or qualification which the company considers necessary to allow you to improve your working performance, and to maintain qualifications legally required to carry out your duties.

    8.To ensure that you are fully conversant and comply with all legal requirements of their work.

    9.To keep all items supplied by the company in good working order.

    10.Responsible for advising the Supervisor of any stock requirements/shortages in a timely manner.

    11.Carry out inspections of properties as instructed by the Supervisor.

    12.To maintain accurate maintenance records.

    13.To ensure that the repairs service is carried out in line with the Association's Repairs and Maintenance Policy i.e. within appropriate response times.

    14.To adhere to the Trent & Dove Housing's policies and practices with regard to confidentiality at all times.

    15.To undertake any other additional duties commensurate with the role and pay grade of a joiner.

    Health & Safety Responsibilities

    1.To be committed to the health, safety and well-being of colleagues, customers and partners and support the aims and objectives of the Company's Health & Safety Policy.

    2.To co-operate with the company on health & safety matters by following agreed safe working procedures, using safeguards appropriately, attending health & safety training and reporting all hazards, near misses and unsafe conditions that you become aware of.
