About the opportunity:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a meticulous and conscientious Governance professional to join Everton in the Community as Charity Governance Coordinator.


Within this new role to the charity, you will be responsible for administering and clerking the Charity's Governance Committees, including full board and sub-committee meetings.

This will include other forums and panels, providing professional meeting support to ensure professional standards of governance.

  • You will be a key player in support of the Premier League Capability Code of Practice (PL CCOP), an assessment tool which supports PL funding and effective compliance.
  • Using exceptional interpersonal skills, you will develop and establish positive working relationships across the Club and support the Director of Finance, Governance & Assets (DFGA) in establishing "best in class" Governance frameworks to ensure key regulatory requirements are identified and complied with throughout the charity.
  • Other core responsibilities as part of this role include:

Managing the charity's Governance meetings calendar, ensuring all meetings are scheduled and prepared for in a timely fashion and the relevant attendees are invited Ensure the production and management of all documentation required for each meeting, including but not limited to agendas, meeting packs, declarable interests, NDAs, minutes and actions Establish and ensure the chair of each meeting is fully briefed and preparedTo ensure all EitC policies are reviewed and updated at the agreed frequency, liaising with the relevant departments to ensure all policies are reviewed and approved as per the Policy Approval Framework.

Who we are looking for; Essentially, we are looking for someone who has previous experience gained within an administrative function such as Democratic Services or Paralegal.


The nature of this role requires an individual with excellent IT, organisation and communication skills as you will be working with key stakeholders across the Club.

The core hours for this role will be 35 hours per week

This opportunity will be offered on a Permanent basis
