• Permanent candidates onlySALARY £60,000 £70,000 and other great benefits We are looking for a Programme Manager on a permanent based in the South Somerset area with strong knowledge of electronic systems in the Aerospace and Defence industry.

Qualified in Project Management or equivalent industryExcellent knowledge ERP/MRP systemsCompetent in use of MS project or other project management toolsNatural communicator with ability to influenceExperience in manufacturing, preferably Aerospace & DefenceExperience in direct dealings with customers and programmatic mattersLead contract negotiations with suppliersAble to develop Technical understanding of the products and industryThe Programme Manager role will involve:

Produce programme schedule through MS project understanding technical requirementsWork with Engineering manager to define design activities and schedulesWork with the Procurement Manager to ensure materials and components are delivered within defined schedules.

Work with the Production Manager to allocate build resource to the project in a timely manner and ensure that products are ready for factory testing on time.

Communicate directly with technical experts in various engineering fields - mechanical, electrical, and software.
Arrange various project reviews during project lifecycle.
Manage and mitigate risks through project lifecycle.
Be the customer liaison, reporting on project status, schedule, and risks. Occasional international and domestic travel for project reviews on customer sites.
