Whilst these are highly demanding roles in terms of both the potential emotional impacts on both those involved and the teams themselves through long and complex investigations, it is easily one of the most rewarding.

There are few roles that offer the same job satisfaction, knowing that at the end of the day you have safeguarded some of the most vulnerable members of the public, including children from serious harm, whilst locking up some of the most dangerous.

Providing long term support to those who may've never had any.

Although this area of business does hold a degree of risk, all members of C&PP are supported by an inclusive and visible command team, unwavering peer support, close knit teamworking, enhanced occupational health interventions, psychological screening, training and regular 121 meetings with your line manager.
