    Professional Development:
    Working as a locum in Social Work provides opportunities for continuous professional development. Degree or equivalent in social work
    Current Social Work England registration
    Significant frontline experience in Children's Services

    A solid understanding of working with thresholds and assessment of need in order to identify the early identification of risk, harm and need.

    Experience in making timely, co-ordinated and proportionate responses to ensure the safety of children.

    Excellent communication skills and confidence when speaking to parents, young people and professionals in order to gather and assess information to aid decision making.

    Working closely with children of all ages and with parents in often extremely stressful and challenging circumstances.
    An understanding of the need to recognise the importance of partnership working to safeguard children is essential.
    The ability to work at pace and ensure that children and families access services in a timely way.
