    Description

    Penzance Vets for Pets are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to cover Maternity Leave from July/August 24 for 12 months.

    By joining us you will have the opportunity to use your nursing skills to their full potential, admitting patients, monitoring anaesthetics, recovering, and discharging patients.

    To apply you will have good general nursing experience and great customer service skills, be cheerful, down-to-earth and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in animal welfare.


    About Us:

    Based on the Penzance Retail Park, our bright, spacious, air-conditioned surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards with state-of-the-art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities.

    With a coastal path running from Penzance to St Ives, you can really enjoy the outdoors on your days off from the practice.

    This role is for 30 to 40 hrs per week which can be over 4 or 3 days flexible to suit your needs, Saturday is a 1 in 4 rota (opening 8.

    Our Team:
    You will have support from a dedicated team of 4 Vets, 3 Receptionist and 2 Veterinary Care Assistants.

    A competitive salary upto £28,000 (depending on experience) you will also enjoy perks such as staff discounts, rewards scheme and more.

    We start the day at different times dependent upon which shift we are working but it's usually between 8.So one day you might be admits, then ops nurse, another you will be consult nurse, another dispensary etc.

    This means that we all get a chance to work in different areas and helps us to keep updated and current.

    We have all the usual kit including digital xray and laboratory equipment. A lot of practices just don't utilise nurses skills and this is where Vets 4 Pets Penzance stands out. You will use all of your skills and develop in those areas that you need further training with.
