    Description
    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding Head of Physical Education, to join Whitcliffe Mount School. a committed and flexible team player who can inspire others to raise aspirations, through an exciting and ambitious curriculum.

    As a Head of Subject, you will be required to lead, coach and inspire staff across the PE department, helping them to engage and enthuse learners of all abilities in physical education.

    At Whitcliffe Mount, we want all our students to enjoy PE and to become confident, independent learners. The successful candidate will strategically lead a large physical education department, with the support from the school's leadership team.

    They will continue to raise standards, outcomes and promote the benefits exercise to all, helping to further develop physical education at Whitcliffe Mount School.

    Be educated to degree level with QTS in their subject;
    Be passionate about leading and supporting the PE department in delivering ambitious learning and improving students' levels of progress and attainment within PE and Sports Science;
    Love encouraging, motivating and inspiring children through the support they give in order to encourage their learning;
    Be committed to our ethos that all pupils can achieve at Whitcliffe Mount School;
    Have great references demonstrating they are a suitable candidate, safe to work with children.
    Encourage all our pupils to go beyond what they think they can achieve, to enjoy learning, helping them to lead healthy and happy lives;
    Ensure our staff are happy at work, taking pride in pupils' progress and development;
    Deliver training and guidance relevant to job role so expectations are understood and staff feel motivated;

    Whitcliffe Mount School is one of eight academies within our trust and is part of a close-knit community well located for commute from Leeds, Huddersfield and Wakefield.
