Description
The basic contract is for 10 programmed activities. Whole-time 10 programmed activities split into 8.5 DCC, and 1.5 SPA.

There will need to be a discussion with the post holder regarding the final job plan arrangements, prior to commencement of the appointment.

A workload management system is in place based on the RCPath points work allocation system.

If the post holder elects to undertake a part-time contract they will be required to devote substantially the whole of the professional time to the duties of the post.

If you wish to work part time you will still be considered for the post with an adjusted Job Plan to be developed.

As it is envisaged that it will be increasingly difficult to accommodate all future advances in specialist cancer treatments and interventions at each of our main hospital sites, the Trust is actively engaged with neighbouring organisations in developing local Sustainability and Transformation Plans but with a move to specialist pathology reporting in a digital environment, the Department sees itself in a strong position to support any such changes.

We have a strong training culture and good experience of developing clinical staff to support completion of training of new consultants.
