We are looking to recruit an experienced Certification Coordinator to join our team. The role will be based at both of our Aberdeen sites, Marywell and Greenbank Road.

This position will predominantly work on the OHS Certification but is also expected to gain working knowledge on the Packaged Gas certification side of the business.


This position will report to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for the supplying of information, storage, maintenance, update, retrieval and compilation of current and valid equipment certification records for operational equipment utilised by Offshore Energies.


Their main responsibilities are:

  • Reviewing inspection due dates and booking in third party inspectors for reinspection
  • Support third party inspectors by providing original sling/shackle certificates when required. Contacting manufacturers as and when required.
  • Document controller for all new certification from vendors and repair centres
  • Maintain accurate & uptodate database asset certification and provide it when required by customers (including hydro tests, asset pressure certificates and internal inspections dates)
Prepare industry standard periodic certificates

Support the Production and Maintenance teams to ensure that the overall purpose of the job (as detailed above) is efficiently, effectively and consistently achieved

  • Liaise with Maintenance Supervisor and Operations Manager to establish equipment certification requirements so that the operational demands are met in line with customers' requirements.
  • Focal point for internal, third party and customer representatives on all aspects of equipment certification records and documents
  • Keep up to date with all industry standards, highlighting training requirements to line management
  • Build and manage working relationships with all 3rd party inspectors and inspection company coordinators.
  • Discussing, challenging and supporting the team on inspection and certification issues.
  • Maintain asset register to ensure all certification records are correct and up to date and also managing and recording asset identity change where required
  • Prepare and print internal Dangerous Goods certificates for asset movements when required.
  • Provide support to the plant in Malta for certificate related queries
  • Participate in quarterly stock take if required

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:


  • Previous experience within a certification role
  • Proficient on Google packages and AX ERP system.
  • Due to the fast paced nature of this role, it is essential you have a proven track record of working to tight deadlines and are comfortable working under pressure.
