    Within our Wastewater Consultancy team our aims are to grow our people, benefit our environment and enjoy what we do.

    From strategy development and business planning support to solution development, testing, optimisation and design, we offer a full range of water services built on our deep expertise in hydraulic and water quality modelling, and we are currently in the market to recruit professionals with a background in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering to join our team at all levels.

    Our One Water Team comprises over 2,000 UK-based staff dedicated to water and wastewater services, including consulting engineers, modellers, data analysts, field engineers and geospatial surveyors, covering the whole life cycle of an asset, from strategy to engineering to operations.

    We work for all of the water and sewerage companies across the UK and most of the water-only companies, delivering a full range of end-to-end water and wastewater services including data collection and analytics; modelling and risk analysis / optimisation; data visualisation and mapping; artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions; and development of optimised, risk-based, operational interventions.

    We are looking for ambitious engineering professionals with a background in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering with a passion for problem solving and the experience to lead a team.

    Expertise in wastewater infrastructure or similar, taking responsibility for delivery of specialist, complex or innovative projects, ensuring client and design standards and specification compliance, production of quality plans.

    Working knowledge of the Construction and Design Management (CDM) regulations 2015.
    Working knowledge of Primvera P6 or MS Project.
    Working knowledge of GIS Systems (MapInfo, ArcGIS, QGIS).
    Experience using AutoCAD, MicroDrainage, InfoWorks ICM, FME or Optimatics an advantage.
    Hold a full clean driving licence. Travelling to site and client and/or other RPS/Tetra Tech offices may be required.

    Leadership of multi-discipline project teams to build, maintain and manage strong and collaborative working relationships with clients and wider RPS/Tetra Tech disciplines.

    Delivering a diverse portfolio of water infrastructure projects such as (but not limited to) storm overflow discharge reduction, SuDS and surface water separation, flood alleviation, asset optimisation and other projects requiring detailed technical analysis.


    Responsibility for:

    day-to-day leadership and direction for team, workload planning and prioritisation, provision of technical direction and support, driving staff performance and motivation.

    Ensuring quality of outputs and compliance with standards, specifications and governance requirements.
    Responsible for commercial performance, forecasting and risk management. Management of all health and safety, quality and environmental aspects of projects.
