Description
Transport PlannerMy client is one of the leading providers of transport and logistics provision in Kent.
They specialise in managing logistics requirements ranging from single pallets to full loads and special projects and ensuring seamless transportation solutions across the UK and Europe.
They are now looking for an experienced transport planner to join their team, working closely with the operations manager, and providing great customer service to their large clientele.
Position ResponsibilitiesPlanning routes and issuing jobs to drivers and subcontractors.
Working closely with the operations manager, looking after 100 + customers' accounts.
Processing customer orders, inputting data into planning systems.
Arrange and oversee multiple shipments daily.
General admin duties, i.e. answering calls and emails.
Dealing with customer enquiries and updating them on their delivery statuses.
Managing and updating various third-party systems and portals, arranging collections and deliveries, custom clearances etc.
Managing various documents and paperwork, ensuring it meets the company's compliance criteria. Requirements
Experience in UK/EU Road Haulage and Freight Forwarding
Knowledge on current UK/EU Customs Clearance requirements.
Strong communication, both written and verbal, with a strong attention to detail.
Have great people skills, and a hands-on approach.
Highly motivated.
Strong IT skills.
Responsible, reliable, hardworking.
Strong ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
On call hours as required, and occasional Saturdays are required. Company Benefits
Salary - £30,000 - £35,000 dependent on salary
28 days holiday, with an extra day a year per year of service, up to 5 years
Monday - Friday 8-6pm
On site parking
