**Full Time - 35 Hours Per Week
We are looking for an/a Head of Marketing, Recruitment and Communications.

This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week).

We operate agreed flexible hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.


The Opportunity:


To lead the delivery of an effective and professional marketing, recruitment and communications strategy for the School of GeoSciences across multiple communication channels and key areas of high impact.

The post holder will successfully convey a consistent and positive School profile to numerous stakeholders, including prospective students and potential partners in research and industry.


Using existing and future market insight, ensure the delivery of a clearly articulated brand relevant for a global audience that promotes the School/University, research expertise and impact, partnerships and degree offerings.


Play a pivotal role in structuring and managing a team to deliver a consistent and sustained strategic integration of online communications, public relations, partnerships, virtual and in-person events.

A predominant focus will be recruiting potential students into the School's undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes.


Your skills and attributes for success:
Professionally qualified/relevant degree plus, typically, a minimum of 4 years hands-on experience in a similar or related role or substantial vocational experience (typically a minimum of 10 years) demonstrating development through involvement in a series of progressively more demanding work/roles

Specialist knowledge in two or more areas of the main responsibilities listed in the job description and some experience of all areas of the marketing and communications mix


Significant relevant practical and work experience in marketing, communications and/or brand management, including providing high-level, strategic advice, support and planning.

Excellent project management skills and the ability to deliver reliably to time and to budget in an environment characterised by multiple and sometimes competing demands
