    £30k-£35k + Bonus

    Working Hours: 12pm-9pm

    Are you an experienced Transport Planner seeking a new role?

    You have the opportunity to join a well-established Steel Stockholder in Shoeburyness.

    This business is one of the largest employers in the area and has an excellent reputation for taking good care of its employees.


    This is a very key role in the business and the entire company will rely on your to plan routes and loads for it's entire fleet – 30 plus vehicles.

    You will do a detailed handover over 3-4 weeks with the current Transport Planner before taking full responsibility.


    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Have ultimate responsibility for the daily route and load planning for an entire fleet of 30 plus vehicles.
    • Log Webfleet messages throughout the day, send information for returns, NOL and collections to all required staff.
    • Maintain a live transport vehicle/driver board.
    • Interact with Communicate Better when any HGV / Tom-Tom / Webfleet issues arise.
    • Interact with Maxoptra in the event of issues.
    • Liaise with drivers throughout the day using Webfleet messaging system and Maxoptra tracker.
    • Liaising with sales staff with regard to customer specific requirements.
    • Maintain the CSV file for order download into Maxoptra.
    • Produce daily work schedule for Shoeburyness and Sittingbourne (when required).
    • Organize collections for returning product.
    • Checking manifests against tickets to ensure all planned work gets loaded.
    • Print missing tickets.
    • Create daily load list detailing drivers/vehicles/weights/drops/mileage.
    • Send emails containing the Loadlist & debrief of the plan detailing any unplanned orders, missing tickets and not on CSV's.
    • Text management group summary of planning.
    • Liaise with the vehicle workshop, ensuring that all vehicles are available for service/MOT.
    • Perform driver debrief on their return.
    • Assisting with deliveries on 3.5t vehicle.
    • Assisting with loading/unloading of vehicles via forklift
