Jonathan Lee Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Construction Site Manager to work on an exciting project with a World Leading car manufacturer.

The role is based in Wolverhampton and the contract will run for at least 12 months.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a 'Zero Harm' approach to safety in our designs and contractor performance. This will include civil works, structural steel works, mechanical, electrical, utility works and general facility fit outs. (With the support of design consultants / vendorsas required)
  • Support the wider business planning function, in scheme creation, feasibility, budget creation and justifications.
  • Support the GME Infrastructure team in the development of key stakeholder relationships ensuring that GME is the primary source of all Infrastructure works. This will include stakeholders outside of GME.
  • Support the GME Infrastructure Manager with the development and maintenance of all Infrastructure standards within ME.
  • Deliver world class facilities and infrastructure, safely, on budget, on time and to agreed quality standards.
  • Undertake any other work as directed by the GME Infrastructure Manager in connection with their job requested
  • Leading contractors and carrying out all toolbox talks.

Essential Requirements:

  • Clear understanding of site safety / contractor auditing, and Safety legislation (CDM 2015 Reg etc).
  • Previous experience and strong background of Infrastructure works from conception through to delivery and completion.
  • Experienced in contractor management, and site activities.
  • Core Health and Safety knowledge (Contractor Management) such as NEBOSH General Certificate, with Construction module, IOSH, SMSTS or similar
  • Willing to cover wider MI team during key installation periods of site activity, via flexible working week, including some weekend cover when required (potential for fixed weekend rotas with 2 day midweek rest period)
  • Knowledge and experience of proposing feasible schemes and subsequent development, including budget costing, thru to stakeholder agreement and sign off.
The role will initially undertake Monday - Friday 8 hour shifts. Rate of pay is £30.24 per hour, £241.92 per day. Will be occasional weekend work for an enhanced rate.
