Description

Working as a Design Draughtsperson, utilising your design and drafting skills and professional experience you will play a critical role in performing required design and drafting duties for delivery of Solids Control, Waste Management and Disposal products.

You will have exceptional CAD skills, attention to detail, ability to work effectively with other team members and a keen focus on delivery.

You will be required to complete engineering deliverables for the purpose of designing and satisfying customer requirements.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Create equipment 3D models, drawings, and BOMs.
  • Make revisions and maintain existing 3D models, drawings, and BOMs.
  • Copy or revise drawings based on sketches, verbal, or written instructions.
  • Work on special projects, as required to support design and drafting requirements.
  • Perform routine dimensional calculations.
  • Create Layouts, drawings, charts, graphs, or diagrams based upon information provided by engineering and operational staff.
  • Maintain drawing files, assist in the assembly of engineering packages, and assist with the distribution of drawings and documents.
  • Prepare drawings of systems or project features from sketches and marked up prints.
  • Design and create fabrication drawings of structural elements.
  • Assist Manufacturing with timely production of metal preparation, weldment, and assembly drawings.
  • Interface with manufacturing personnel to ensure that drawings reflect actual production fabrication.
  • As required, go to field locations to address specific equipment installations, make field sketches to detail dimensioning for creation of CADD models and drawings.
  • Assist engineers with checking drawings and documents created by engineers, drafters, and designers as required for signoffs.

Qualifications:


  • Drafting courses / training (Essential)
  • HND in Engineering (Desirable)

Experience:


  • CAD Experience 2D & 3D (Essential)
  • Experience in an Engineering Environment (Essential)
  • One year mechanical fabrication or machine drafting (Essential)
  • Ability to create and track individual metrics (Essential)
  • Experience in design of DNV and offshore structures/containers (Desirable)

Skills, training or special knowledge

  • 2D CAD software AutoCAD (Essential)
  • 3D CAD software SolidWorks (Essential)
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) (Essential)
  • Knowledge of drafting standards (Essential)
  • Good oral communication skills (Essential)
  • Ability to work in a team environment (Essential)
  • Solids control and waste management equipment (Desirable)
  • Ability to identify problems and seek solutions from more experienced designers and drafters (Desirable)
  • PLM experience example EPDM (Desirable)
