    Job summary

    Chelmer Medical Partnership has a fantastic opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant for 30+ hours per week to join our forward-thinking practice.

    Our well established practice is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant with Primary Care experience to assist the clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.

    Main duties of the job

    Main duties include:

  • Phlebotomy
  • ECGs
  • Diabetic health checks
  • Flu vaccinations
  • Simple wound care
  • Dressings
  • B12 vaccinations and more.

    Chelmer Medical Partnership is a friendly and supportive 32,600 patient partnership with 7 Partners and around one hundred employees based in Chelmsford. We are a three-site practice based at Humber Road Surgery, Melbourne House Surgery and Tennyson House Surgery. We are a training practice operating across three sites and play an active role in our local PCN.

    Person Specification

    Qualifications

    Essential

  • None

    • Experience

    Essential

  • Successful completion of the Care Certificate, or willingness to undertake, as indicated by the CQC
  • Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, or equivalent
  • Experience of working within a GP practice, primary care or another healthcare setting
  • Strong clinical skills;
  • Confidence and competence in all HCA duties required for the post
  • Excellent patient-facing communication and interpersonal skills
  • Consistently confidential manner, as well as a compassionate and respectful approach, placing a high value on the dignity of patients, relatives, carers and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and determine own workload priorities, as well as working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
