McLaughlin & Harvey are one of the leading Building and Civil Engineering Contractors operating throughout the UK and Ireland. Group Turnover is in excess of £500m. The group reports significant profits and sits on sizeable cash balances.We are seeking to recruit a Accounts Administrator to join our Finance team based in Belfast.
Responsibilities will include:
- Processing new starters and leavers
- Processing any pay related changes
- Processing any nonpay related changes ie pension, payroll deductions
- Processing of overtime
- Processing of sick, maternity and paternity leave
- Assisting in the running of the subcontract ledger
- Logging subcontract certificates onto finance system (COINs)
- Updating internal SCOPE system
- Assisting in payment runs
- Answering supplier queries
- Working closely with commercial department
- Subcontractor maintenance and updating of subcontractor insurances
- Assisting purchase ledger function if/when required
- Expenses cover
- Opening and distributing post
- Covering switchboard when required
- Competent in Excel, Word and other computer packages
- Attention to detail
- Relevant payroll experience would be desirable
- Experience of working in a similar sector preferable but not essential
