Mosaic Recruitment have a new and exciting opportunity for a Junior Project Engineer to join a family-owned business based in Enfield.

Once you have completed full training (approx. 2 -4 weeks), there will be flexibility for the role to be fully remote withonly the occasional visit to the office as and when required.


This role will be reporting to the Technical Procurement Manager and the Operations Director, you will help to plan and co-ordinate the purchasing of materials, products, and services for the factory and site, working closely with the management team.


Responsibilities:


  • Compilation of purchase orders to the company procedure
  • Negotiating with suppliers for the best quality, service, and price
  • You will be responsible for chasing purchase orders for delivery times
  • You will monitor the stock levels and replenish in line with agreed minimum stock levels
  • Assist with stock control and the coordination of activities of those involved in storing materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies
  • Monitor supplier performance and report findings to management
  • General administrative duties including saving of purchasing paperwork and delivery notes
  • Get involved in understanding the job specifications and requirements so that less reliance on others
  • Assist in the continual review of supplier performance
  • Other ad hoc administrative duties as necessary
  • Maintain regular consistent and professionalism, punctuality and adherence to Health and Safety procedures

Person Specification:


  • Education Level 4 NVQ, HNC, or equivalent in Engineering or higher
  • Some previous technical engineering experience/knowledge required. Due to the development expected in the role a foundation of some kind of engineering understanding is needed, Inhouse training will be provided continually throughout the role.
  • Knowledge of Engineering process components e.g. Pumps, valves would be beneficial but not necessary.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
