    Description

    Here at bp pulse, we're energising the future of transportation by developing fast and convenient charging solutions for consumer and commercial electric vehicles.

    Over the course of more than 10 years, we have designed and developed innovative electric vehicle charging solutions that enable EV drivers to charge at home, at work and on the go.

    On our mission to make charging fast and hassle-free, our charging points have been used over 35 million times to enable around 200 million miles of zero tailpipe emission driving.

    Electrical design and spatial layout of EV Charging (EVC) installations from feasibility through to construction phase, working closely with the project programme manager to ensure sub-contractor work packages meet design requirements.

    Management of design of multiple projects at various stages of delivery including new LV/HV connections and downstream electrical works.
    Answering technical queries from sub-contractors and reporting on progress as appropriate.

    Assist in general activities of the commercial installation team, improving processes and working with team members on overall efficiency and delivery of EVC projects.

    Available as contact for client side queries regarding engineering aspects of projects as required.
    Accurately price and design work packages based on surveys completed by yourself, colleagues or sub-contractor (including electrical installation, ICP/DNO connection and switchgear)
    Develop and issue cable calculations, schematics and specification for EVC installations
    Specification of materials and switchgear
    Prepare and/or review CAD layout of EVC infrastructure schemes
    Assure the quality of design's produced by sub-contractors and that this meets BP standards
    Help develop and implement a design function and strategy for BP rollout projects
    Assist the installation team with on-site queries and review of testing as required
    Help manage the sales team/commercial element throughout the pre-construction phase
    Support and assistthe electrical estimators/deliver estimating activities
    Witnessing of site commissioning and key installation activities if required
    Experience working on electrical design in line with BS 7671 requirements
    Proficiency in working with drawing tools such as Visio, AutoCAD
    Gain experience in a fast growing sector on a wide variety of projects at pace.
    Work on design and delivery of EVC projects for some of the UK's largest fleets as they shift towards electrification
    Be a part of an EVC engineering and installation team covering AC to high-power DC solutions.
