Key responsibilities:


  • Owning projects throughout the project lifecycle from concept to handover and closeout.
  • Preparing, updating, and implementing the project management plan
  • Monitoring overall progress, the interdependencies and resolving issues/mitigating risks
  • Driving the design development, surveys and site visits to write the works information
  • Undertake contract admin & have thorough understanding of NEC3/ NEC4 contract suites.
  • Ensure projects delivered to quality, in time allocated and at, or below the approved budget.
  • Write specifications, tender & contract documents to include risk registers, schedules etc
  • Assess tenders in readiness for contract award
  • Ensure compliance with CDM 2015, H&S, water quality/environmental standards, STW procedures and statutory legislation.
  • Undertaking regular reviews, inspections, and audits.
  • Managing contractors to ensure that the execution of projects is undertaken as expected.
  • Contract administration of numerous projects dealing with payments, EWN, CE?s and etc.
  • Undertaking timely thirdparty liaisons in line with the project programme.
  • Understanding client requirements and have strong stakeholder engagement to deal with complex thirdparty relationships.

Skills and experience required:


  • A degree in engineering, construction, or project management
  • Member of a relevant institute e.g. ICE, IMechE, IET, IChemE or RICS
  • APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ)
  • APM Project Management course (PMQ) is desirable
