- Excellent oncall roster.
- Providing first class care and advice to patients, carers and families in inpatient, community and outreach settings.
- Providing consultant advice to colleagues internally and in other specialties.
- Developing and implementing strategies across the service whilst ensuring clinical governance is at the highest standards - quality improvement, audit, teaching etc.
- FRANZCP or specialist training completed in Ireland, UK, USA, Sri Lanka (with Australian or NZ international placement) Canada or South Africa.
- If you completed your psychiatry training outside of Australia (SIMG) then you must have at least 2.5yrs experience at consultant level at the time of reading this advert and will have completed a formal post in child and adolescent psychiatry, of at least 6 months.
- Experience in delivering specialist care in multicultural environments.
- Applicants with experience in rural and remote mental health care provision will be highly regarded.
