You would be joining an established, award-winning team working as a trusted communications partner providing advice and delivery of external (and some internal) communications across multiple channels for the Society.

You will deliver engaging, meaningful content for members, external stakeholders and colleagues across a range of channels and events.

Working across multiple departments throughout the organisation, you will provide a clear strategic communication plan and brand activation campaigns.

We are a community and values-based employer that puts both our people and our members at the heart of what we do.

If you want to make a real difference to your community and career, then we'd love to hear from you.

What we will offer you as one of our valued colleagues:

  • 25 days' holiday, plus bank holidays and a day off on your birthday to help you celebrate
  • Option to purchase up to 5 days additional holiday.
  • Opportunity to work in an agile way (to include home working) after your training has been completed.
  • A commitment to your ongoing training and development, including our internal rotational development programme (optional after successful completion of probation).
  • Up to 14 hours of paid Society leave to volunteer for a local community initiative each year.
- 'Dress for your Day' approach when in the office.

  • Various health and wellbeing benefits such as 24hour Employee Assistance Programme, subsidised flu jabs and eye tests.
  • Private healthcare, dental cover and health cashplan cover (all optional from day 1).
  • Generous Stakeholder Pension Scheme where the Society contributes a massive 10% on top of your 3% contribution
  • Life Assurance 4 times your basic salary life cover.
  • Critical illness cover.

What type of person will you need to be?

You will be a naturally confident communicator as you will lead on the creation, development, planning and delivery of multi-channel communications activities.

You will collaborate with colleagues across the Society, being the operational lead for the Society's key strategic projects and change initiatives.

You will have experience of monitoring and evaluating media coverage (providing regular reports for senior leadership), planning and delivering events, and be confident dealing with digital communications and the social media landscape.

It goes without saying that you will have excellent PC and digital skills and ideally hold a relevant marketing or communications degree (or related experience).
