    Term: 3-month contract to Permanent

    SRG are working with a leading waste management and recycling company who have a long and successful history of supporting the UK chemical industry.

    The role would involve assisting in budgeting activities, helping to lead the other site chemists, help ensure all compliance requirements are met, help ensure strict health and safety measures are in place and being followed.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a Chemistry graduate looking to expand their chemistry skillset and kickstart their career in Chemistry.


    5 working hours per week Monday – Friday, 7:30am til 4:00pm, 21 days holiday + statutory bank holidays, Company pension scheme, enhanced sick pay, cycle to work, PPE provided, and company discounts at retailers.

    Receiving chemical waste onto site from industrial and commercial sites
    Ensuring paperwork for incoming waste is compliant and correctly completed
    Immediate testing of incoming waste to ensure conformity with paperwork using test strips

    Further laboratory testing as needed for further analysis using techniques including flash point testing, pH testing, visual checks, odour, viscosity.

    Working alongside site operatives to ensure that waste is processed, stored and transferred in a safe, compliant and timely manner
    Bulking/re-packing of waste to achieve maximum profitability
    Running morning briefings and reporting to delegate and distribute activity accordingly
    Minimum HND in Chemistry, or similar qualification with significant chemistry content
    Industrial experience preferred in the chemical or waste industry
    Applications from chemistry graduates welcome
    COTC, WAMITAB, NEBOSH, IOSH
