Do you have a proven track record in developing a strong Health and Safety Environment within the Rail Industry
We are looking for an exceptional SHEQ Manager with solid Rail experience to become an integral and vital part of the business
Leading the H&S Team to proactively develop and implement the project health, safety and wellbeing strategy
Proactively promote H&S best practice throughout the project and established accident & incident prevention strategies throughout the managerial/supervisory/workforce levels (including contractors) across the project.
Work with the managerial/supervisory teams across the project in the implementation of H&S standards and procedures necessary to ensure compliance with the Railway Safety Certification & Principal Contractors / Rail Plant Company Operating licenses, ISO standards, current applicable legislation and other client requirements.
Provide professional health and safety advice, coaching, mentoring, training and education to management/supervisors/H&S team/workforce and contractors where identified as necessary.
Problem solving, communication and good interpersonal skills are a key requirement for this role. Proven experience in Health and Safety role (minimum of 5 years' experience).Degree (or equivalent) qualified in health and safety with chartered membership of IOSH (CIMIOSH)
Have working knowledge of both rail and civil engineering interfaces and practices.
Previous experience of working in the rail industry are an essential requirement along with the possession of a PTS (minimum 5 years' experience in the rail industry)
