THE ROLE:


This is a 'hands-on' technical IT support role, in which you will provide advice and troubleshooting knowledge to customers to ensure their needs are met including software and network security.


You will be working as part of a Service Desk team delivering high quality 1st line support with a key focus on delivering quality customer service within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).


This is an office-based role (Monday - Friday) located at my clients Head Office in Sheffield, dealing with troubleshooting customer enquiries within a fast-paced IT support environment.


As part of my client ongoing L&D, my client provides in-house training and growth opportunity to work towards 2nd line technical engineer.


THE PERSON:


  • At least 12 months commercial experience in a 1st line support / SDA capacity, ideally with ICT or ITIL certification
  • You will be working predominantly from the Sheffield office with some occasional travel to other UK locations, therefore a full, clean driving license is a must for this role
  • Ability to resolve support tickets facetoface and remotely via telephone and remote access
  • Ensure all customers receive feedback and updates on technical issues and requests
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 operating systems, including network infrastructures such as TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP (desirable)
  • Experience working with, supporting, and maintaining IT Hardware including Laptops and Printers
  • Flexible approach to work adopting a 'can do' attitude and willingness to learn new technology
  • Ability to work with customers and colleagues at all levels and build strong working relationships
