Special Needs Teaching Assistant Wanted in Surbiton, Kingston upon Thames

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our SEN school in Surbiton, Kingston upon Thames.

This is a full-time and long-term role that will run until the end of the academic year and offers a competitive pay range from £80.00 to £100.00 per day, depending on experience.

Responsibilities of the Special Needs Teaching Assistant will include:

Supporting the classroom teacher in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for students with special needs.
Assisting students with daily activities, such as eating, dressing, and moving around the school.
Providing oneonone support to students as needed.
Supporting students with their academic and personal goals.
Collaborating with other members of the school community, including teachers, support staff, and parents, to ensure the best outcomes for students.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children with special needs.
A deep understanding of the unique challenges and rewards of working in the SEN field.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
A DBS on the update service.
