Award winning Leeds Firm is looking for a Solicitor or Legal Executive or experienced Paralegal to join their busy and well established Psychiatric Injury Department.


The department deals with a variety of psychiatric illness matters but are the specialists in the niche area of Stress at Work claims.

The vacancy would be to manage an establish caseload of Stress at Work claims with the opportunity for future involvement with other psychiatric illness matters.


At Oakwood Solicitors we are dedicated in delivering a professional, yet friendly and personal service, which puts clients first and is flexible and considerate of their mental health needs.


Key Tasks

  • Managing (under supervision) a caseload of complex and predominantly multitrack personal injury cases for psychiatric illness caused by stress at work;
  • Undertaking fee earning work and providing a profitable contribution to the Firm.

Essential Experience

  • Solicitor, Legal Executive or experienced Paralegal with a minimum of 5 years' fee earning experience;
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience of dealing with and handling litigated personal injury cases in areas such as Industrial Disease and/or Clinical Negligence.

Desired Experience

  • Some experience in handling Employment Tribunal cases or good knowledge of employment law in consideration of the overlap between personal injury and employment in stress at work cases;
  • Experience in working with vulnerable clients/individuals;
  • Working knowledge of using the case management system Proclaim.

Salary
Dependent upon experience

Plus a competitive bonus scheme based on fee income


Working hours
Full time role

Monday to Friday - 09:00 to 17:00

Flexible home working with at least 3 days requested in the office
