Looking to expand our sales and estimating team, we are offering a unique and thrilling chance to join us.
As an estimator, you should have a minimum of 3 years' experience in metalwork or related construction industries.
Job Description:
Reporting to the Sales & Estimating Director, you will be part of our dynamic estimating and sales office, responsible for providing accurate quotations and negotiating tenders with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimating architectural metalwork, secondary steelwork & structural steel
- Reviewing architects and engineers drawings
- Material take-offs and tender summaries
- Obtaining supplier quotations and negotiating deals
- Completing quotations within set deadlines
- Creating detailed quotations
- Communicating with clients regarding tender submissions
- Following up on sales of quotations
- Participating in client meetings and occasional site visits
- Collaborating with other departments
The ideal candidate will have:
- Solid understanding of metalwork or relevant trades
- Background in the construction industry or manufacturing sector
- Strong IT skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and self-motivated
- Effective planning and organizational skills
- Positive work attitude with attention to detail
- Flexible approach with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Previous experience as a QS or in sales negotiation is a plus
