    • Physis Care are excited to expand our residential offering with the development of a new residential 'place of safety' home in Newport, Shropshire. The home will provide emergency, same day placements, for up to two young people, aged between 11-18 years who are experiencing extreme trauma and are at high risk of further exploitation, by remaining in their current communities.


    We are looking for a Registered Manager to move the property from strength to strength, working closely with the development team to offer advice and guidance, develop policies and procedures, and to create a home that enables our young people to express their character and feel safe.

    Ensure all members of the staff team are aware of and deliver the support required to ensure the life chance opportunities of the children and young people we support are met in relation to their social, educational, leisure, emotional, physical and cultural needs.


    • Ensure the day-to-day care of the young people is of the highest quality and in accordance with regulations and best practice.
    • Ensure compliance with OFSTED regulations and standards.
    • Provide professional support, guidance and supervision to the staff team.
    • Manage and monitor finances, Rota's and staffing structure.
    • Lead on the assessment and admission of all new children and young people into our children's home. Work with a multi-agency network.
    • At all times to promote the safeguarding and welfare of the children.
    • OFSTED registered manager with QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is essential.
    • Minimum of 5 years residential experience, 2 of which at a managerial role within a children's care setting.
    • Manual Driver's licence - Use of onsite vehicles.
    • Ability to place young people at the centre of all practice and decision making.
    • Working knowledge of the Children's homes (England) Regulations 2015 including the quality standards for the registration and inspection of Children's homes.
