- Physis Care are excited to expand our residential offering with the development of a new residential 'place of safety' home in Newport, Shropshire. The home will provide emergency, same day placements, for up to two young people, aged between 11-18 years who are experiencing extreme trauma and are at high risk of further exploitation, by remaining in their current communities.
- Ensure the day-to-day care of the young people is of the highest quality and in accordance with regulations and best practice.
- Ensure compliance with OFSTED regulations and standards.
- Provide professional support, guidance and supervision to the staff team.
- Manage and monitor finances, Rota's and staffing structure.
- Lead on the assessment and admission of all new children and young people into our children's home. Work with a multi-agency network.
- At all times to promote the safeguarding and welfare of the children.
- OFSTED registered manager with QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is essential.
- Minimum of 5 years residential experience, 2 of which at a managerial role within a children's care setting.
- Manual Driver's licence - Use of onsite vehicles.
- Ability to place young people at the centre of all practice and decision making.
- Working knowledge of the Children's homes (England) Regulations 2015 including the quality standards for the registration and inspection of Children's homes.
