Position Overview: As a Special Educational Needs Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education and support to students with special educational needs. Working closely with a dedicated team of educators and support staff, you will create engaging and individualised learning experiences that cater to the unique needs and abilities of each student.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver differentiated lessons and learning activities that cater to the diverse needs of students with special educational needs.
Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with colleagues and external professionals.
Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapist's and other staff members to promote student progress and well-being.
Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly to ensure continued growth and development.
Maintain accurate records of student progress, behaviour, and achievements in line with school policies and procedures.Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching students with special educational needs preferred.
Sound knowledge of SEND legislation, policies, and best practices in special education.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
Resilience, patience, and empathy in working with students facing diverse challenges and barriers to learning.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for making a difference in the field of special :
Competitive daily rates of pay ranging between £130 and £180, dependent on experience and qualifications.
Full-time position (term-time only) with the opportunity for a fixed-term contract until August 2025.
